Abstract
INTRODUCTION
From the very beginning of civilization, man as a being of the Universe has asked questions that were beyond his cognitive power. With the development of religious and philosophical thinking, man's desire to examine reality, in and around him, also develops. Throughout history, heroes who carried the flame of knowledge have often been victims of fear and ignorance. The development of science and scientific methods is largely conditioned by the maturity of humanity. Astrophysicists, molecular biologists and many other scientists are the heroes of our time, carrying the tradition of questioning and the torch of truth illuminating the paths of universal truths. In that spirit, this paper should provide basic guidelines in order to continue this historical task through the generations. In this paper, I intend to explain the basic concepts and instruments we use in scientific research. The aim of this paper is to refresh existing knowledge, and contribute to a better approach to research of the scientific subject. Through the paper, I explain the goal of science, the character of scientific knowledge, the elements of scientific research, and I look back at the methodology itself as a science and the method as an instrument of scientific research.
