Abstract

The paper examines the alleged complementarity of science and faith in the interpretation of reality. Based on the relations of indeterminacy for the two quantities that characterize the truth of scientific or religious knowledge, it is shown that the decreasing uncertainty of scientific knowledge causes an increasing dispersion and vagueness of religious knowledge.
